At Willowtown Primary, we have a team of dedicated and enthusastic Digital Leaders, who aim to develop digital learning across the school.

This year, we have a total of 8 Digital Leaders, from Year 3 to Year 6.

Our current Digital Leaders group was established in 2022 by Miss Hawkins.  

Since creating Digital Leaders, we have:

• Run an Online Safety Poster competition, and voted for the top posters to appear here on our website and in classrooms

• Learned how to use a range of coding equipment and digital tools

• Shared our expertise of coding equipment with pupils in our classes

• Ensured our equipment is kept and stored safely

• Begun to create 'how to' videos to support pupils using digital tools

• Updated our Willowtown Online Safety rules, and displayed these in our ICT Suite

• Supported Miss Hawkins and Miss Stokes when delivering coding professional learning to other schools, as part of our STEM Learning Network School role

Next year, we plan to:

• Continue developing our own digital skills

• Run curriculum meetings to support staff in using coding equipment

• Visit other classes to support teachers and pupils using digital tools

• Run an assembly for Safer Intenet Day
